Highlights/ Sample of Coursework:
As part of this course I visited a public and a college library to watch how librarians responded to my reference questions. The course also introduced me to many resources for use in responding to patrons reference questions. I learned to use a number of computer applications that would be beneficial in a library setting including Delicious and Endnotes Web. I had a brief introduction to LibGuides. I worked independently and with other members of my group to review common reference materials, which included paper and electronic versions. I enjoyed learning about the different types reference resources so that I will be able to respond to patrons' information needs. I like thinking of the appropriate reference for each situation.
